Happy dance time! Spring break week. Whoop, whoop! I hope to rest, clean house and knock out a few appointments. I also want to rotate my winter clothes and summer clothes. My master bedroom closet is smaller and one of my guest bedrooms has two walk-ins so I only keep current season clothing in my smaller one. Twice a year it’s a big deal to change out sweaters for short sleeves.
Notice the Amaryllis? It’s baaaacckk.
Nothing I have on today is new. Creating a new look from old clothes. Isn’t that the mark of a true fashion lover? Pulling from the closet to create a completely different outfit can be a challenge and takes a little extra thought and effort. But, it’s worth it.
I like how this one turned out. This top is one that everyone has. It’s that piece that gets you at least one compliment every time you wear it. It isn’t fancy and I’m not really sure why women connect with this top but I’ve never worn it without receiving nice comments.
Start with that piece. Then build around it. Start pulling out and trying on. That’s really the only way you will know what works and what doesn’t. Take pictures. Then look at them. That objective view will let you know quickly whether the outfit works. It isn’t vain to do this. There is nothing wrong with wanting to look your best.
I didn’t start this blog because I liked to look at myself. Oh nooooo. I started it because I enjoy putting pieces together. Some work, some do not. I like the challenge of it all. If that helps you in some way, I’m thrilled!
