Buffalo Check and Denim Skirt

Ahhhh…buffalo check.  I went a little crazy decorating with this print last Christmas.  It became wildly popular a few years ago and  I was a little late jumping on the bandwagon.  But, when I did, boy did I jump!

I also love it in my wardrobe!  I added a western slant to today’s look by tying the shirt at the waist, styling pointed booties and adding a purse with fringe.  The western look is having a moment right now and a denim skirt fits right in.

This outfit is nice because it can be worn now while we are still dealing with the warm, warm weather.  Roll up those sleeves and you can be relatively comfortable when the temps dip to a chilly 80 degrees.  Lol

I like a fitted shirt (if not fitted, I tend to look like a rectangle),  but I also want a little wiggle room, especially if I’m tying at the waist.

I will usually go up a size; from medium to large to get the extra roominess.  That usually makes the sleeves too long and the look is messy with slouchy sleeves.  I just cuff them up one time and it solves the problem.

Or, roll the sleeves up to the elbow.  You may need to do this anyway because of the warm weather!
