Today is our annual Faculty Feast for Christmas, yummy, yummy! I pushed my 3 day diet to Wednesday, Thursday, Friday this week ’cause there’s no way I want to miss out on today’s good food. It’s my kind of feast; snacks, brunch-y and lunch-y foods and of course desserts. I was planning on making cream cheese sausage croissants and chocolate oatmeal cookies but realized I only had 1/4 cup of butter and needed 1/2 cup for the cookies so I’m only taking the croissants. There will be so much food that hopefully no one will notice.
I love buffalo plaid and have used it the last several years with my Christmas decorating. This year I modified a bit by ordering stockings in Denver plaid but I still also use the red and black. To me it is a very inviting and cozy print.
Today, I’m styling a blanket scarf that could also be worn as a wrap or belted as a shawl. I love how one piece can make an outfit. Without the scarf, the outfit consists of a black turtleneck and black denim. The scarf adds pattern and color.
Mid calf boots give your outfit a different look from the more common knee high or ankle boot.
