Dip Dye Plaid…Buy or Make Your Own! (Details Below)

I first spotted the flannel dip-dye plaid shirts at Vintage Market Days in Huntsville, Alabama when friends and I went last fall.

The vendor had sold out so I ordered mine for around $35.  It’s a thicker fabric so I wear it as an overshirt.  It’s quite warm.

On a girls’ trip to Gulf Shores, my crafty friends decided we could make our own dip-dyes!

A quick run to Walmart and six Faded Glory flannel shirts were purchased for around $8 each.  Back to the condo and the bleaching began.  Pinterest directions here.

These were given to daughters, daughters-in-law and granddaughters! We had so much fun creating these cute dyed plaids!

I added a little extra to my outfit by styling a leopard belt.

Throw a flannel plaid around your waist for a casual look but still look super cute.  My head is cut off in all pics because my hair looked especially rough on this day 🙁
