Crazy, busy week so I’m sharing a recent dish instead of a style. Check out my Instagram or recent post to see my red and fur pick for the holidays. I hope you have a great weekend!
It’s not too late! Click here to sign up for Pillsbury’s Cookie Countdown. You will receive a recipe a day until Christmas. Easy, with few ingredients and they look delicious!
The holiday season is my favorite time to try yummy snack and dessert recipes. There are so many to choose from but today I’m pulling out a family favorite.
I’ve made this dish many, many times and it’s a no fail. It came out of a recipe book I bought from a local church in 1982 when I was 20 years old! There’s nothing like a recipe from a church lady! Good food!!!
Tattered recipe books are the best books right?
You probably have most of these ingredients on hand during the holidays.
Graham crackers, sugar, pecans and butter make for a delish crust.
Strawberry or peach pie filling could be substituted for a different taste. I’ve never changed because my family enjoys it so much exactly the way it is written.
I made this dessert for a Thanksgiving dinner and was running behind (of course), so I forgot to take a picture of the whole dessert. This picture is actually better because the entire dish is topped with Cool Whip, so that’s all you see.
I couldn’t bring myself to retype the recipe. I decided to just snap a pic of the page, food stains and all. You can’t use a recipe for 36 years and keep it spotless. Impossible!
