Green Is The Color Of Spring

Seeing my forsythia blooming, trees leafing out, and grass growing like crazy in the yard (yep, down in Alabama we usually call them yards), makes me very hopeful that spring is just around the corner.  After all, it’s almost March.

Green seems to be the color of March (St. Patrick’s Day ya know) and the beginning of all pretty things to come.  Spring is definitely my favorite time of year.  Well, think it is.  In the beginning of every new season, I think it’s my favorite.  Maybe that means I have a very optimist attitude.

The cold-shoulder trend has been going strong for several years and every season I think it’s probably over, but every store seems to keep stocking them.  I’m trying not to purchase more, I love the look and I have several already.  Having said all this, I couldn’t resist including this Dress Barn floral.  It’s really cute and at a great price point.

Lighter wash denim gives the look a lighter feel.  Open toed booties are not as summery as sandals but they are a good place to start to incorporate a springtime look.
