It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Fall

Okay, maybe today’s title is a bit misleading. The only thing that’s looking fall-ish around here are the stores. You would think tomorrow was Halloween and Thanksgiving all rolled into one. I don’t mind it though because I love this time of year. Maybe I can control myself and hold off decorating until at least the middle of September.

At least I can begin styling fall graphic tees and this one incorporates two things I love; fall and “The Wizard of Oz”. In case it isn’t clear in the picture, the shirt states, “but I think I love fall most of all”, reminiscent of Dorothy telling Scarecrow “I think I’ll miss you most of all”. Awww…one of my favorite lines of all time.

I found the top on clearance at Maurice’s last year.

Do I kinda look like I’m ready for a weekend trip? Well, I’m ready but no plans have been made. I have a girls’ trip scheduled the first weekend of November, but nothing until then. The weekend bag is simply a prop (maybe I’m hoping it will bring me luck and a nice trip will magically develop). Actually, the bag is still available at Walmart (in camo print) so I wanted to show you mine again. I’ve used it several times and it is sturdy and extremely roomy. The olive/cream color duo or the camo print is perfect for fall.

As I was pulling this outfit together, I happen to remember this varsity cardigan from last year.  I love the mustard color. Mustard is super trendy this fall but not a color that flatters me. I try and find a way to wear it away from my face.  This boyfriend cardigan is perfect. If you are stuck wearing only basic colors that look best on you, think about stepping out of the box and adding color this way.

I was concerned that a fall graphic tee and patchwork pants may resemble a scarecrow outfit but I actually like how it looks all together. I chose Steve Madden slip-ons (below) instead of sneakers and changed it up with sandals (below) without the cardigan.
