It’s The Perfect Time For Plaid

16 days until my next giveaway!!! This time it’s a two-fer.  One will be chosen from any new subscription in September or October. The other will be anyone already subscribed to my current mailing list. The $20 gift cards will be from Walmart.

Do I look smarter today? Hahaha, nope didn’t think so! My poor eyes have suffered in the last week because my contact prescription needs to be updated. I had an eye doctor appointment a couple of weeks ago and it was cancelled because my doc was at a conference. I’m a procrastinator so I haven’t yet rescheduled. The contacts finally died on me and I’m wearing glasses again. Well, not all the time, just when I need to see, lol. More info  than you want or need but since this is what I  look like on a daily basis, I decided to keep them in for this shoot.

If you find a good fitting blazer in a classic color and cut; it will almost always pay off. Case in point, I wore this  Camel Loft blazer last week with leopard and denim (here) and today I’m adding plaid. It’s definitely time to pull out my plaid shirts!

I’m not sure I would be comfortable wearing this blazer buttoned for a long period of time, but I do like the more structured look. Pushing the sleeves up a bit to show the shirt sleeve gives the outfit a casual vibe. I added my new BLANKNYC straight leg jeans today and neutral booties. Once again it was late afternoon before I made it outside to snap pics so I had to rush a little. That’s my justification for very little jewelry and no handbag.

I like the straight jeans cuffed. It’s the first time I’ve tried them this way. Usually, I just leave a raw hem. They are pricey but I caught them on sale at Nordstrom.

I threw this one in for free. Ninety percent of the time, I take my own pictures with the help of a stand and remote control. Who knows how I get such crazy shots? I certainly do not mean to! Most of the time I immediately delete but hey it’s October, let’s be spooky wild!
