Guest Post by “Lauren In Neutral”

Guys, you are in for a treat today and tomorrow!  A former student of mine has grown into a true fashionista who scours thrift stores and online stores for vintage finds to create her eclectic closet.

Lauren lives with her husband in Huntsville, Alabama and is a dental hygienist by day.  You can follow her on Instagram @laureninneutral to see her looks and her style tips.

Take it away Lauren…

I have a board on Pinterest I add photos to so I can reference when I am purchasing items for my closet or trying to figure out how to style certain things. The elements of these photos that are also pretty popular this year are the neck scarves, animal prints, simple patterned skirts/ dresses, straw bags/natural inspired accessories, and dressing high/low. I used to work at Anthropologie in college and learned a lot of useful tips of how to elevate outfits, so I credit my time there to a lot of how I style things! I also love to browse brands I love like Sézane, Madewell, Anthropologie, Free People, etc. to see what looks are currently in to draw inspo from.
I love mixing vintage and secondhand finds with current pieces of clothes. I reference to my inspo photos to see how to style them in ways that are new!

Skirt is secondhand Banana Republic (similar here). Tee is Anthropologie from a couple of years ago (similar here).  Shoes are from Style Encore.  Watch is Fossil. Jewelry is Anthropologie.  Bag is Old Navy and my dog, Sunday wanted to be in this one! 😉

Dress is vintage Club Monaco (similar here). Sweater is from Gap. Clutch is vintage Aigner my mom thrifted for me! Shoes are bought like new secondhand from Style Encore (similar here).

Thanks Lauren, you look beautiful!

Stay tuned folks for Lauren In Neutral part 2. More looks and a special style tips section tomorrow.  Can’t wait!

I would love to hear from you!
