I had a very quiet weekend, resting most of the time. Jim was hunting all weekend so I binged watched Netflix. My current obsession is “Call The Midwife”. If you love babies, this series is for you. It is set in a town outside of London in the fifties and focuses on midwives living in a house together; a mixture of secular and nun nurses dealing with babies, moms and their own lives. It’s very heart warming and interesting!
I’ve had a dull pain, more like soreness or tenderness in my right side for a few days and began thinking it might be appendicitis. Hopefully, it isn’t but I wasn’t brave enough to push my luck so I just took it easy Saturday and Sunday. I did manage to clean the top of the refrigerator and eat half a pan of homemade Rice Krispie Treats. No judgement please, haha. My diet begins Monday.
Hallelujah! We teachers finally get paid at the end of this week! We are paid monthly but because we receive our December pay before we dismiss for Christmas break, it means we have six weeks in between paychecks and that’s with Christmas thrown in there! Woof! It’s tough but almost over.
Today, I’m styling three pieces out of five I received from the Loft Outlet sale. Five pieces for under $60. Not bad! This leopard and striped top is thin but not see through. It will still be comfortable when the weather turns warmer and at this price, it won’t be in stock long.
I’m loving the gold earrings. They are just the right size and catch the light with the Pave trim and hammered gold tone.
Faux fur lined boots are so trendy now. I plan to purchase the black ones also while they are on sale. I can’t decide whether to go down a half size (7 1/2) or order the black ones in 8 like the brown. That’s my normal boot size but these are a tad roomy. Not big enough to be uncomfortable and I think they will be fine with chunky socks. I’ll have to wear them a time or two and then decide what size to order in the black color. If you are ordering, you may want to go down a half size.
