Smoked Ham & Havarti Cheese Sliders

Veering from fashion today.  The weather has been rough lately so I haven’t been able to take pictures. I’m off today for President’s Day so hoping to work on a few outfits.  

We made this dish Saturday and it turned out well!  These sliders are filling, easy and delicious.  It’s a great choice for a rainy day; which is all we’ve been having lately.  It doesn’t seem to be letting up anytime soon either.  Rain is forecasted every day this week and flooding is predicted in lower areas.

Typically, I think of these sandwiches as a tailgating finger food.  We watched several movies Saturday when we made these so I guess it’s  a rainy day, movie marathon meal also.

The recipe called for Swiss but I substituted Havarti cheese in its place.  I used smoked deli ham.

My helpful assistant smothered the dish with the poppy seed marinade.

 In the oven for 20 minutes, until they were brown on top and ooey-gooey in the middle.

I ate four so I guess that means they turned out well.  My assistant ate five but who’s counting?  Lays potato chips were the only side dish needed.   No dieting today 😉
