Spotted In The Caribbean

Hello from Grand Cayman!  We had a couple of hours of sunshine midday, then this.  Rain in the Caribbean is pretty common but it usually doesn’t last long.

Hopefully, by the time this posts the rain will have ended and we can enjoy the sunshine. Although, the storm over the ocean is pretty spectacular.

We went to our favorite local restaurant, Kirk’s Corner Thursday for dinner.  It has changed names but thankfully the staff (of three) and the food remains the same. It is now called the Caboose Restaurant but it will always be Kirk’s to us.

Our dinner consisted of…

Whole Red Snapper

Homemade Fritters

Blackened Mahi-mahi

Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo

House Salad

Kirk’s is basically a deck with a tin roof and colored tarp curtains. It is a laid back, extremely casual atmosphere so a tee and shorts are appropriate.

This denim top goes well with the pink shorts. Tassels were big last year and are still going strong this summer.
