Stripes And A Printed Scarf For A Stylish Winter Outfit

Christmas shopping today so brief post.  Hope you stay safe and warm wherever you are!

My site is under new, improved construction so pardon if it isn’t exactly like it should be right now.  Hopefully, it will be running smoothly soon.  Progress is  painful sometimes.

The temps have crawled upwards a little bit so it isn’t as hurtin’ cold as before.  Man, it has been rough for us Southerners the last month.  We are not used to below freezing this early in the winter!

It was a pleasant high of 54 the day I shot these pics so I could handle a 3/4 sleeve with a scarf (and an overcoat part of the day).  The last few days I have layered as much as possible to stay warm.  I know to you northerners, I must sound weak and frail and when it comes to frigid weather…I pretty much am!

This simple striped knit dress was a gift from my daughter several years ago and I have really enjoyed wearing it.  It needed a little extra today so I added a blue/black animal print scarf.  It is out of my comfort zone in two ways.  First, it took me a long while to appreciate the blue/black combo.  Even now, I don’t mix them often.  Second, mixing pattern and stripes has been going strong for a few years but I’m still not comfortable with too much.  This combination was fine though and I’m proud of myself for branching out.  Lol

Black tights and basic black boots complete the comfy outfit.  Perfect for school.  BTW, three more school days before Christmas break. YAY!
