Midi Sheath Dress in Maroon

I usually wear this dress with my faithful denim jacket but since it was on the blog yesterday and will be again later this week, I went without today.

The fact that it is classified as a sheath dress makes it seem as though it is super tight and fitted.  The material is 100%  polyester with no spandex so it isn’t tight at all.

I like the fact that it is midi length, making it appropriate for the office or even church.

I wanted to keep the monochromatic look of the dress but added a small splash of color with drop earrings.

Have you discovered the SUGARFIX by baublebar at Target? Forever21 has always been my go-to for super cheap jewelry but the baublebar has a great assortment of trendy items.  Click the link above and take a look!

70s Inspired Flounce Top and Peep-Toe Booties

I’m not sure if it’s a hard and fast rule but I’ve always worn lighter denim in warmer months and saved the darker washes for fall and winter.

I’ve styled today’s 70s inspired top with a lighter crop denim and peep-toe booties.  It keeps the outfit from looking too fall-ish.  It is still August ya know!

Jeans are Red Camel from several years ago.  Similar here. Cut From the Cloth and Black Daisy Junior jeans.

Fergie Peep Toe

Lifestride Wedges (some like wedges better than block heel so I linked these cuties!)

Overalls are back in a big way.  Slouchy, fitted, cropped, you name it!  I so wish I still had my Gap jeans from twenty years ago. I linked a great style here.

Dollhouse Cropped Denim Overalls

Next week will be crazy busy for me and I’m sure for you also!  Oven Hot Dogs are loaded chili dogs baked in the oven. The fact that they are “baked” just makes them sound healthier, don’t you think?
