“Styled 3 ways” probably isn’t the best description for my three looks. I kept the same tank and cardigan and changed the shoes and bag. Although it does somewhat change the overall look.
Less than a week until Memorial Day and the unofficial start to summer. It’s my last full week of school. We have to go next Tuesday and Wednesday but no students.
Also, coming up soon is my annual girl’s trip to the Caribbean. This will be our 11th year to travel to Grand Cayman. We have learned that 22 mile island pretty well!
Yesterday, I wore a striped tank top from Target and today an animal print. They are made a little differently. Today’s tank has a subtle sheen which gives it a dressier vibe. It also fits better. I purchased a large in both. They are now on sale for $5 each, I paid $8. I did a side knot on the tee because it’s longer than normal.
In this pic, I paired the tops with Topshop sneakers and a Michael Kors white crossbody. This is my favorite look of the three and what I would wear running errands or for just about any daytime activity.
The cardigan (similar) is one of my all time favorites. It’s from Forever21 and it was forever ago that I bought it. I know, I know that was corny!
Please don’t discount Forever21, assuming it’s only a store for the younger set. I’ve purchased many basics there and this piece has held up very well.
I try to link the store when it’s feasible because they definitely follow the latest trends with a lower price point.
On the high/low scale, everything I’m wearing today is economical. The jeans are Democracy but were bought on sale, blue bag is New Direction (similar), peep-toe wedges are JCP (similar), necklace was a gift (thanks Diane :)) (similar)
I’m such a rebel. Changed necklaces, and shoes for this look. Lol. Actually, these New Direction sandals do give the outfit more of a summery look; as opposed to the booties.
If you are like me, Memorial Day is low key compared to some of the other holidays. Shorts and tshirt or cute tank is a about as dressy it gets, with a menu consisting of hamburgers, hot dogs and sometimes chicken on the grill.
I’ve linked several American themed tops for your holiday weekend; most places can still deliver by then. These are on the low budget end; so no guilt for only wearing them a few times a year! Score!
Not sure if this one is black or navy stripe but it just screams cookout attire (plus, I’m a sucker for stripes).
I am so thankful for all the visits, clicks and pins I receive. They all help to support this blog. I am also on Pinterest, Instagram and Facebook.
