What A Difference A Cuff Makes

Some things are getting back to semi-normal and others remain the same. Our girls’ trip to the Caribbean was cancelled yesterday because it was previously re-scheduled for July and Grand Cayman isn’t allowing any flights in until at least September. Bummer! This will be the first summer we girls have missed a trip in well over 15 years. But, staying safe is our main concern and we can always plan a small trip in the U.S. later on.

I kept sweet Daisey Kent on Thursday. We swung on her mom’s new porch swing, she swam a little and we strolled… a lot! We played 70s music and she sang along until she fell asleep. Oh, what a hard life! Lol

Today, I’m styling a top from Maurice’s and shorts from Loft. The shorts are super comfortable but a bit long. I hated where the legs hit my thigh, they looked awkward and frumpy (see pic #2). Turning up the cuff made a world of difference. Because the material is twill, the cuff stays folded without having to sew it down.

I love a slouchy summer sweater with shorts. It has a laid back vibe but still looks chic. It also solves my temperature problem. My arms usually freeze but my legs rarely get cold. Go figure!
