Celebrating Spring Wearing Black, 6 Tops To Pair With Black Slacks

Don’t forget about the Target gift card giveaway at the end of April! Sign up to be automatically entered. Anyone who is presently on my email list (even the newbies) can refer someone and will be entered as soon as that person subscribes. Yay! Two giveaways at one time!
It’s Monday again, but it’s a new month, so all is good. April always makes me happy. I love to watch my spring flowers bloom; especially my tulips. They don’t last long, but they are so pretty. I even like to mow the lawn, it’s hard to stay inside when it’s beautiful out. My snowball bush is full of blooms and should be peaking in the next few days. I’ll post a picture when it does, it shows out every year and I do nothing to it. I probably should give it a good trim but I’m afraid it will hurt the growth somehow, so I just leave it alone. Lol
It was a relaxing weekend, other than stressing over the Auburn Tigers playing in the NCAA Elite Eight. The games we’re so intense but we came out on top! So excited for the final four games next weekend.
Black is a classic color and it struts it’s stuff when paired with pretty spring colors and patterns.
While the tops below aren’t necessarily similar to mine (Jessica Simpson from last year), they all pair well with dark slacks and have a professional look.
We all love a great top at a bargain price so I’ve linked these “on sale” tops from Venus and Macy’s. None are over $35! If you haven’t had a chance to check out Venus.com, now is a great time to do so. Some of their clothing is a little risqué for me, but most are perfectly fine to wear out and about. The prices are reasonable and the pieces I’ve ordered from them have been good quality and have held up well.
These slacks aren’t what I have on in the pics but I love to switch them up and sometimes wear wider legs. They have a professional feel and are much more forgiving in the body shaping area. When I purchased these last year, I knew I didn’t want to invest much; not knowing how often I would wear. These came from JCPenney (Worthington Brand) and are less than $25 with online coupon.
