Plaid Scarf Adds Style To A Plain Gray Sweater

Styling a very casual look today.  Basic black/gray sweater with jeans and black booties.  Adding a plaid scarf that just happens to be a perfect Christmas plaid makes the outfit festive and colorful.

Please tell me I’m not the only one that has not finished Christmas shopping.  We plan to knock it out Saturday with a very detailed list of stops to make and exactly what is needed to finish up.  I love this time of year so I don’t mind shopping at the last minute.  Hopefully, we can find what we need!

I like to wear basic silver or gold hoops with a casual outfit.

Jeans that fit well can really make an outfit.  These William Rasts are my favorites.  They never fail to fit and stretch in the right places.  I only have one pair now but would love to purchase more (when I can snag them on sale).  Justin Timberlake and Tracy Ayala founded the clothing line and are known for their premium jeans.  The quality is exceptional.

Question of the Day: I often get asked style questions through texts or personal email.  Today a fellow teacher asked a great one!  “Can you wear long socks with Vans? My daughter (insert eye roll), hates short socks and wants Vans but will only wear them with long socks. Is this okay or a fashion no?

Answer:  My first instinct was to say “No long socks with Vans!” Lol, but I knew I needed to research a little and see what the Van people would advise.  I was pleased that they seemed to agree.  Longer socks (as in crew) look good if scrunched down.  Ankle socks also acceptable.

I have a girls’ brunch tomorrow so today will be spent wrapping presents and preparing snacks.  Hope you are headed toward a merry, merry Christmas!

I would love to hear from you!
